Ms. Berjal co-founded CIAM in 2009. She is responsible for the fund’s investments.
Ms. Berjal has 23 years of experience in financial markets including 18 years as a portfolio manager of event driven strategies. Prior to founding CIAM, Ms. Berjal was Head of Merger Arbitrage at BNP Arbitrage, where she managed European and North American portfolios from 2000 to 2009.
She joined BNP Arbitrage from CDC–Marchés where she started her career in 1994, first as a trader in “basket arbitrage”, then from 1998 as portfolio manager in merger arbitrage. She has 23 years experience and enjoys a strong reputation investing in corporate event situations.
Ms. Berjal graduated from Paris-Sorbonne University where she obtained a Master’s degree in Finance in 1994.
Partner, deputy CEO
Ms. D’Andlau co-founded CIAM in 2009. She is responsible for the fund’s strategy and development.
Ms. D’Andlau has 22 years of experience in corporate finance and the event driven sphere. Prior to founding CIAM, Ms. D’Andlau worked at Systeia Capital Management (acquired by Amundi) from 2001 to 2008, first as Head of Research for the Event Driven and M&A strategies, then taking on a portfolio management role from 2003 to 2008.
She joined Systeia Capital Management from PriceWaterhouse Coopers where she acquired a solid corporate finance experience between 1995 and 2001, initially within the audit and due-diligence department, then as an M&A advisor.
Ms. D’Andlau graduated from Rouen Business School (NEOMA) in 1995.
André H. François-Poncet
Mr. François-Poncet joined CIAM in 2016 as a Partner to bring his expertise in all aspects of the firm's steering.
Mr. François-Poncet brings 32 years of experience in banking and finance to the fund. He has expertise in a variety of industries and transactions, including M&A, a wide range of contacts in industry, finance and government, a track record in generating capital gains and experience growing financial services businesses.
Previously, he was a Managing Partner at large-cap leverage buyout firm BC Partners for almost 15 years and, before that, a Managing Director and Joint Country Head for France at Morgan Stanley where he opened the Paris office.
Mr. François-Poncet holds an MBA from Harvard Business School
and a BA from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC Paris).
Risk Manager and COO
Mr. Drujon joined CIAM in 2015 as Head of Operations, Risk and Compliance.
Mr. Drujon has 25 years of international experience in financial markets, mainly in fund management, structuring and managing investment activities.
Prior to joining CIAM he has worked in various capacities within the asset management industry where he started in 2002 as a partner and manager of the CB and Capital Structure Arbitrage funds at Systeia Capital Management. Prior to that, he has headed proprietary trading units at leading investment banks including DLJ, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers.
Mr. Drujon graduated from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in 1991 with a specialty in economy and finance, and holds a master in business law from Paris-Sorbonne University.
Head of Sales Development
Michael has joined CIAM in 2017 to run investor Sales Development.
He has ten years’ experience with Asian, EMEA and North American investors in both Business Development and Capital Introductions.
He has previously worked in Prime Services at Citigroup, Boyer Allan Investment Management LLP and Clareville hedge funds. Before moving into the Alternative investment sector, Michael worked in Equity research and sales, and run Pan European Equity Sales for Scotland and Ireland at Salomon Smith Barney, Bear Stearns and HSBC.
He is a former Naval officer and a graduate of the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.
Mr. Valldecabres joined CIAM in 2011 as a financial analyst. He started his career at Edmond de Rothschild as an analyst for the Event Driven & Merger Arbitrage fund.
He graduated from University Paris-Dauphine with a Master’s Degree in Asset Management.
Ms. Heintz joined CIAM in 2011 to oversee Middle-office operations. In addition to that role which she still holds, she joined the Investment management team as a financial analyst.
She graduated from South Bank University with a Master’s degree in International Finance.
Ms. Gao joined CIAM in 2016 as a financial analyst. She started her career in 2015 at Lombard Odier as a Portfolio Manager Assistant.
She graduated from ESCP Europe and is currently a CFA level III candidate.
